Considering the significant contribution of firefighters and emergency rescue teams and services to the protection of the population and territories from emergency situations of technogenic and natural character ... "according to the Presidential Decree" On the Day of Workers of Civil Defence "from August 27, 2004, № 1010/2004 and abolished with the resumption of the Day rescue according to the Decree of President of Ukraine "On the Day of rescue" from September 12, 2008 № 830/2008.
With the establishment of Day of Civil Defense were abolished Day of Fire and Rescuer Day.
