The Carpathian National Park

 The Carpathian National Park was established in 1980 to protect the unique mountainous land­scapes of the Ukrainian Carpathians with their peculiar florae and fauna, to create all the ne­cessary facilities for rest and tourism, and for conducting ecological research and disseminat­ing knowledge on nature protection. The park's climate is transitional, from the temperate warm West-European to the continental East-Euro­pean. Here numerous mountain streams and rivers take their origin. Snow-capped crests, uni­que primeval forests, Alpine meadows, peaked cliffs, deep ravines, curative springs, roaring waterfalls and deep lakes — this is the Carpathi­an National Park.
