Vorokhta - urban-type settlement in Ivano-Frankivsk region, which is about Yaremche. The village itself is situated at an altitude of 850 meters above sea level on the Prut River. The village is located on the territory of the Carpathian natural national park.
Vorokhta a resort that is a center for training Ukrainian athletes from jumping from the jump, biathlon and cross country skiing. Vorohty is known about sports facilities "Zarosljak", where the ascent begins on Goverlu.

Name of the village is like what is in the late XVII century lived a fugitive from the royal army - a soldier Vorokhta. This soldier was a very wise man and he was named to honor the settlement Vorokhta.

Since the late nineteenth century Vorokhta develops as sporting tourist center. Just at this period in the summer of 1884 there was built the railroad. In 30-ies there are several resorts for wealthy tourists. And in 1957 opened a ski school Vorochta.

Today Vorokhta is a famous resort and big tourism center in Ivano-Frankivsk region, in both summer and winter.
About Vorohty a few lifts for skiing enthusiasts. It lifts near the base of the Avangard - 300-meter and 2-mile loop. And 250-meter platform at the city Makivka. During the winter season sets are additional lifts.
