ECOLOGICAL EDUCATIONAL ROUTE  “To MAKOVICYA"

( Yamna forestry)

 Length is 8 km. A height above a sea level: from 550 m to 984,5 m. Transition duration - 4 hours.

This route is a survey excursion on the territory of Yaremche and hiking to the Makovicya mountain. The route starts on the territory of Yamna forestry. We are walking through the mixed forest, beech forests are the valuable material for wooden industry. Except beech there are some other trees here: fir-tree, silver fir, prickly bushes of juniper Siberian.

Grass cover is typical for the mixed forests. On the fringe of the forest there is a periwinkle small which is glorified in songs and myths, but because of the poisonous act it is used limitedly.

A meadow’s flora is represented by grass and flowers of any kind: alpine arnica, tain,

 

 

 

A lot of animal, which feed the seeds of the trees, live there: jays, gorikhivka, wild boar, mise and norici. One can see salamandra  plyamistu, tritons, vipers and frogs, deer noble and roe deer European. Moving to the range we achieve the Makovicya peak. In a clear sunny day the view of the whole territory of national park is seen.

ECOLOGICAL EDUCATIONAL ROUTE  “Zhenec' - Guk”

(Zhenec’ forestry)

 

Еcological educational path passes along the main highway. The length of route is 4800 m.

The route starts in the Zhenec’ forestry, which is 800 m high above the sea level.  

Not far away from the Zhenec’ forestry office two routes begin: ”Zhenec' – Homiak” and “Zhenec' - Yavirnik”. One can enjoy the cool fresh water from the springs and have a rest in the pavilion nearby.  

There is a pond 200 left from the route and the rest area “Zhenec'” is located on the right side. A small waterfall is in the distance of 1000 m from it. Beside it, it is a picturesque meadow, suitable for the rest. The typical flora of mountain meadows dominates here. Among green carpet of spring grass you are lucky to find a corn-flower Carpathian, arnica alpine, zozulinec' plyamistiy, traunshteynera spherical.

One can meet a fox, a squirrel Carpathian, a viper ordinary, a common salamander, here on their way to the waterfall.

 Waterfall Guk with the height of 900 m above sea level was formed in post-war years as a result of flood.  Water freely falls from a mountain. It is called Guk because of its noise and hum.  

Due to the permanent moistening and sparks of the waterfall, flora is rich and various here. The wide rounded leaves are stretched by kremena white. Forget-me-nots, resin white, kalyuzhnicyu bog, gravilat  is city, geranium of Roberta and bilozir bog is found here.

Ecological educational route “To Chernogoricya”

( Yaremche forestry )

The length of route is 3,5 km, transition duration - 2 hours. A height collaborates from 600 m to 1000 m above sea level.

The route starts near the farmstead of Yaremche forestry. Steep path rises to the direction of the open-air cages economy, which was established for the reservation and reproduction of the artiodactylas on the territory of the Carpathian National Nature Park. It is founded in 1992 by the nature protected fund of Yaremche forestry, a total area is 5,8 hectares, parted on 6 open-air cages. There is a family of deer noble there.    

         This economy is designed with informative stands and small architectural forms. On the right of it the area of rest “Zhonka” is located.  Arbors, camps, covers, special places for fire-setting are there. From there, through a natural boundary Velykyi , a route leads us to the natural boundary Khreschatik. It is named in such away because four roads of economy value cross in this point.

To the left the most valuable territory of Yaremche forestry is situated – the concentration of pine-tree ordinary. Upwards a natural boundary Piski is located. A wide view of Yaremche city and village Dora is seen from there. A stony road conducts us to the mountain valley Chernogoricya. The cattle and sheep are pastured there. Sheep farmers have built a cabin, where the tourists can stay for the night and to dry their clothes. Cheese, budz, brynza is the main product, made from milk. The route passes through     the forest of beech, spruce, fir and alder.

 Some species of Carpathian flora are found there: whortleberry, blackberry, fern, cuckoo flax. In spring saffron of Geyfel’ attracts the visitors. Sometimes a tourist is lucky to see a roe deer European, European hare, fox, in winter - wild boars. The birds are represented by jay, woodpecker, blue titmouse, hawk, some types of eagles.

Ecological Educational route “Dovbush’s  Path”

(Yamna forestry)

 The length of route is 4 km Transition duration - 2 hours. A height above a sea level is from 570 m to 800.m.

Memorial complex “Dovbush Path” was established in places, related to the name of fugleman of opryshki Oleksa Dovbush. The route starts in the protected natural boundary “Dribka”, not far away from the Dovbush Stone, lies on the mountain cliffs and goes out to Gorgan Zaprutskiy range.

 This territory belongs to the area of Outwardly Carpathians. It is situated on the right bank of the river Prut. Right here a picturesque view to Prut canyon and Yamna village is seen. It is surrounded by the mixed forest. The main wood-forming trees are: a beech, fir-tree, a white silver fir. In the right side unique concentration of ordinary hornbeam is grown.  A relict pine-tree - the oldest representative of the type, sensitive indicator of cleanness of the air attracts the attention of the tourists. Bushes of raspberry, blackberry, and at the end of route a whortleberry grows here. The route crosses the meadows and valleys, mushrooms and berries are gathered here.  

 The flora is rich and various. It is possible to see a lizard quick and a viper ordinary here. Birds are represented by a woodpecker, jay, hazel-hen. Such mammals as a roe deer, wild boar, fox, badger, polecat is widespread. Rodents are represented by a hare, squirrel Carpathian, dormouse, yellow mouse.

Ecological Educational Route “ZHENEC'-KHOM’YAK”

( Zhenec’ forestry)

 Length of path is 5350 m. Transition duration - 3 hours. A height above a sea level is from 650 m to 1350 m.

 The route starts near the office of Zhenec’ forestry and passes through the territory of managed recreation and partly commandment areas. The highest peak of Gorgan Mountains Khom’yk (1545 m) is there. Passing the route three different byotypes are to be observed. In reservoirs, in this half of the path tritons Carpathian and alpine are met. Mammals in this district are represented by predators which feed small representatives of water fauna. It is an otter, a mink, ermine. Common salamander is met here too. Birds are represented by jay, woodpecker, thrush. From mammals there is a deer noble, a roe deer, marten, a squirrel, a dormouse, etc. Mountain valley Hamster is the next stop of route. From reptiles lizard is common for this forest. Such birds as raven, thrush, wood grouse inhabits there.

 Greater part of route we are accompanied by the spruce, fir, alder forest with the single trees of sycamore and birch which are 85 years old. Geographical position and considerable height of Khomyak peak enables to enjoy watching the higher mountains around. In the nearest neighbourhood, in the north, one can see the Yavirnik range, Sinyachka, in the northern west there is Synyak mountain, in the east Lisniv range is spread, beside of it Rokyta and Losyna Ranges are located, Chornogora’s summits Petros and Goverla are seen in the south.

SCIENTIFIC EDUCATIONAL ROUTE “TO NESAMOVYTE LAKE”

(Goverla forestry)

Length of the route is 6000 m.  Transition duration - 2,5 hours.  A height above a sea level is from 1250 m to 1750 m.

The route starts near the sport complex “Zaroslyak”. Hiking southward, we cross the Prut river and find ourselves in the northern east of Pozhizhevska range. On the right one can see the cottages of the Institute of Ecology of Carpathians, the herbarium of plants of Chernogora and weather-stations are placed here. Among the variety of grass of the mountain valley a violet, an arnica, bluebells Carpathian, saffron of Geyfel’ grows. Not far away, among mountain valley meadows, a monitoring territory is established 100 hectares by an area. From a mountain valley a path turns to the mass concentration of bushes of rhododendron Carpathian. In the riverhead of stream Orendarchik a route passes through the thickets of pine-tree and alder green,  and stops near Bezimenne Lake. From here in direction to the southeast we move to the unique monument of nature – Nesamovyte lake, which is located in the glacial quarry, on height of 1750 m above sea level, on the northern side of Turkul mountain.

 Due to a transition from a forest belt to subalpine belt it is possible to meet as forest so alpine species of wild life, among them: a brown bear, a lynx, a marten, a wild boar, a deer noble, different types of mink. One can notify such species as a kestrel common, sapsan, wood grouse, tinivka, thrushes among the birds. Reptiles are represented by a viper and lizards. Such amphibious as a frog grass, a salamander common, and tritons Carpathian and alpine inhabit there.
